just like the thoughts of my mind

Six o'clock already I was just in the middle of a dream...

I was kissin' Valentino By a crystal blue Italian stream
But I can't be late cause then I guess I just won't get paid
These are the days When you wish your bed was already made

It's just another manic Monday ooooOOOoooo wish it was sunday ooooOOOoo cos that's my funday oooOOOoo my I don't have to run day ooOOo it's just another manic monday... (Nothing like a bit of The Bangles on VH1 Classics to wake me up)

Thank you to everyone who wished me well with the essay yesterday, I just need to do one or two final tweeks and then I’m going to hand it in hurrah! Jen mentioned in the comments that essays are the worst part of university, not for me...sitting end of year law exams *shudders*. Oh my god, I didn’t think I was going to get through them last year (and no I’m not being a drama queen had a physical and mental melt down), and if I think about the ones coming this year I feel the onset of a panic attack. Exams are certainly the worst part of uni for me by a long way. I don’t mind writing essays, in fact I've even go as far to say that I love coursework if it’s about something I’m passionate about or interested in, I love getting my teeth into something but Land Law just isn’t something that does it for me. How did you/do you deal with your exams?

I managed to list 14 things on ebay yesterday, toiletries and perfume to start with, shoes/boots and clothes will follow. I can’t wait for the bids to start rolling in, a few quid here and there will do because it all adds up and I’ve got a feeling that in a few weeks if it’s not nailed down it’ll be going on ebay! I feel a bit clear out coming on just in time for spring. I'm sad about the Agent Provocateur going and I'm hoping that it goes for more than the 99p starting bid, but it's been sitting on the shelf unloved for months, I don't wear it often because I've got so many others I love so hopefully it will go to someone who will show it the love and affection it deserves.

So a glamorous day for me today…no classes so after handing my essay (hurrah again) I’m going to do the food shopping, take the wet washing to dry at the laundrette, clean the house and laze around with darling boyfriend who has been away for the weekend and comes back today.

And this is what I’m wearing to do it all in:

I feel I'm missing something today...
or maybe I'm just fed up of layering up for the weather

Tesco Clothing (online) tulip denim skirt £5 in sale
Black jersey polo neck £5.95 Mexx sale
Green chunky knit £8 New Look sale
Back leather boots £25 New Look sale (about 2 years ago)
Black 100den tights - unsure where from I've had them years

I always feel like I should celebrate in some way when I’ve handed in a piece of work. And what I mean by that if I’m totally honest is that I feel that I deserve to buy myself something (read toiletries/ clothes/ shoes/ boots/ handbag/ accessories). Not a good move considering I’m still working on my no spend challenge in that area. I think I’ll have a nice juicy rump steak with home made celeriac chips and salad for dinner and build a coal fire to curl up in front of with boyfriend instead.

Celeriac is a wonderful vegetable, I eat a very specific way which involves no traditional carbs, starches or grains (or sugar) so I have to be inventive with what I do eat. Celeriac is of the celery family so it has a distinctive celery taste but it’s so versatile, it can be roasted, mashed, chipped, as a thickener in soup and used in salads to make coleslaw.

My favourite way is to cut it into chips and bake in the over with a little spray oil, delish. It’s not the easiest to work with or the prettiest of  vegetables, you might even say that it fell from the ugly tree hitting every branch on the way down BUT like with a lot of things in life, it’s what’s on the inside that counts – face value usually gives you very little..and if something is worth having it's worth working for.

So I'll leave you with that, love to you all and hope you have a happy monday

Queenie xx

in total agreement about Land Law, i certainly don't miss monday morning lectures, 2 hrs worth every week :S

Queenie, looks like we both had the same idea today for titles! I like the outfit, but feel it could do with just a splash of colour, like a bright scarf or belt just to define a bit more.

I've never had celeriac, as I detest celery, but the chips sound good - maybe I could make parsnip chips instead.

Mmmm, celeriac. Can't say I've ever tried it in chip form but I may just give it a go :)

I live celeriac but find it really hard to prepare and rarely bother. I might look at growing some this year though as it is suposedly quite easy.

I've never tried celeriac, but have been intrigued for a while. I shall pick one up when I am next at the greengrocers, I love all veggies like this.

Great boots! They're the kind I imagine go with everything.

Aha, now I remember - exams were much, much worse than essays! Midnight cramming, having to be escorted to the loos, getting the sniffles halfway through and feeling terribly self conscious about it! Exams are the worst! :)
